Commissioning Engineer, Pivatic Oy, Hyvinkää

We are looking for a Commissioning Engineer to join Pivatic, a company that delivers production lines to leading thin sheet metal manufacturers. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to travel, work independently abroad, and apply your strong problem-solving skills with customers.

About the role

Pivatic manufactures punching and bending machines for automated sheet metal production. As a commissioning engineer, you’ll work in a hybrid model — partly at the factory, partly remotely from home if desired, and on-site at customer locations abroad.
A typical day at the factory involves starting and testing machines to ensure everything works as intended. You will also fine-tune software in PLC systems and check compatibility between electrical and mechanical components. At customer sites, your role is to ensure that the production line operates according to the agreed specifications. You’ll also provide training for operators and technical staff.
Problem-solving plays a key role in this position, as commissioning machinery can involve challenges that require creative solutions. You can expect around 100 travel days per year, primarily in Europe and North America, with trips typically lasting up to four weeks.

Work tasks

• Commissioning machines at the factory and customer sites

We are looking for

• PLC experience (Siemens)
• Understanding of NC control systems
• Strong mathematical skills
• Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams and hardware
• Experience in programming and automation
• Fluent in English
