Work you’ll do

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Market Ops professionals to join our team. The purpose of this role is to manage reconciliation processes, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliations across a range of financial products and markets, including US, UK, and Asia. The role requires a deep understanding of financial markets, operational processes from both a back office and middle office perspective, and the ability to collaborate effectively with different departments such as front office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reconciliation: Perform daily cash position sheet reconciliation, previous day closing balance reconciliation, and outstanding items reports. Reconcile various accounts and positions, including Kapiti account balances, Intellimatch repo branch reconciliation, and Bloomberg position reconciliation. Manage failed trade reporting and daily LCH Gloss reconciliation.
• Reporting: Generate and review daily, weekly, and monthly reports such as KPI reports, cancelled trade reports, late trade reports, and collateral management holdings reports. Handle specific reporting requirements including daily fails and holdover report, FICC clearing fund reports, and Euroclear reporting.
• Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve discrepancies in reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of breaks and discrepancies.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of reconciliation processes.
• Compliance: Ensure all reconciliation activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address reconciliation issues and improve processes.
• Training and Development: Provide training and support to team members on reconciliation processes and best practices.
• Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to reconciliation activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Tertiary standard of education or a similar intellectual ability is required in relevant field of study.
• Relevant industry accreditations (AFMA, FINRA, IOC/IAQ)
• Experience: 5-10 years in Debt & Equity Markets Operations with knowledge in Financial Markets.
• Experience supporting Debt & Equity Market processes and controls

Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with financial systems and tools such as Calypso, Murex, Intellimatch, and Swift

Financial Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of various financial products such as:
