GKN Hungary is looking for a Packaging Engineer, who will be responsible to manage and implement a material packaging strategy for the plant.

• Implementing the GKN standard for packaging and working towards a common approach
• Developing an understanding of packaging needs and in designing ideas and prototypes
• Delivering local solutions with a view to reduce cost, complexity and safety and environmental issues
• Preparation of reports, statements and calculations
• Participate in new projects
• Cooperate with other departments within organization
• Managing the transport to/from customers
• Daily meetings interdepartmental
• Daily handling with ERP system “QAD”
• Creating packaging flows with customers / suppliers
• Creating packing instructions for external and internal customers/suppliers
• Optimization of existing packaging solutions
• Managing the packaging inventory
  
  

Requirements:

• Master/Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, preferably in the field of logistics
• Minimum 2 years of planning production and material management experience in Industrial or Automotive environment
• Confident English knowledge (fluent Hungarian language skill is a must)
• Works at an intermediate level to perform computer-aided design (CAD).
• Driving license
• Effective computer skills to improve daily work
• Knowledge of packaging standards in the automotive industry
• Good cooperative, organizing and communication skills, process approach, independence and ability to coordinate
• Open to travel (business trips)
