SAP ABAP Software Developer

SIRAX® is a SAP-based revenue accounting system used by airlines worldwide. Lufthansa Systems Hungária is currently looking for new colleagues for the SIRAX® product team.

Responsibilities:

• Gathering and maintaining a vast product and business specific knowledge
• Act as a consultant towards partners and customers
• Implement software changes and enhancements
• Maintaining the product and solving problems reported by customers
• Provision of corresponding documentation
• Adjustment or enhancement of specifications
• Module and integration testing
• Participate in implementation projects or deliver specific features to customers

Requirements:

• Experience in ABAP software development
• Experience in SAP workbench facilities and job scheduling procedures
• Have a good understanding of Unix/Linux and Windows servers and OS connections with SAP
• Capability to understand complex system and find solutions for our customers’ problems
• Resilience and persistence in work
• Ability to work in a team as well as self-going
• Strong analytical approach
• Good spoken and written English

• Is customer-oriented and experienced in consulting customers
• Is motivated to gain deep specialized knowledge in ABAP and the airline industry
• Enjoys working long term on continuously improving a globally used and world-leading product
• Is interested in finance and related airline processes
• Wants to keep track of future concepts in SAP basis software
• Willingness to occasionally travel to German offices of Lufthansa Systems and to customers worldwide

Nice to have:

• Revenue accounting basic knowledge
• Experience in software development of revenue accounting products
• Experience in file based interfaces and shell scripts in an advantage
• Business knowledge about airline industry
• Basic command of German language
