Healthcare Support Workers - Relief

AA Euro Healthcare are currently recruiting for qualified Healthcare Support staff (relief) to accommodate our clients who specialize in working with the homeless. The role will be based in Tipperary.

Applicants must have:

• Support Workers - QQI Level 5 in in Social Care or another allied health profession
• Must have experience working with homeless people or similar environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Eligible to work in Ireland
• Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training is mandatory
• Must be willing to undergo Garda Vetting

Key Responsibilities:

• To facilitate and implement a person-centred approach for our Clients appropriate to their wishes and goals.
• To approach clients at all times with dignity and respect and ensure they are provided with choices around the services they receive.
• To support clients in line with Trauma Informed Practice and harm reduction principles
• To ensure the overall wellbeing of clients in all areas of their lives including health and personal care.

Desirable:

• Experience of working with homeless people
• Experience of working alone in a one to one environment as well as experience of teamwork.
• Experience of dealing with complex behaviours that challenge.
• Ability to utilise IT systems effectively
• Experience of creative problem-solving techniques
