Assistant Transport Planner

This is a Maternity Leave cover position working in the Transport Planning Department.

Transport Planning

· Work with the Transport Planner to plan and schedule in drivers to drop off and pick up loads in Ireland, UK and Europe

· Book Ferries and Flights

· Book collection time slots with customers

· Process road tax and tolls for UK and Europe

· Process Customs Forms and transit documents

Administration

· Process orders

· Upload POD’s

· Send jobs to accounts for invoicing

· Work with Transport Compliance Administrator

Alpha Storage Ltd is a large warehouse facility conveniently situated outside Cavan town to support local industry and enterprise. Our business provides pallet storage in addition to value added services such as ‘pick and pack’ in an ambient controlled environment where clients can be assured of a clean and product-protected service.

Key experience

· Experience in efficient and professional customer relations

· Strong communications skills with excellent English both verbal and written

· Experience in transport is an advantage but not essential as training will be provided

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €27,000.00-€33,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Drung, CO. Cavan: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Office administration: 3 years (required)
