Part time role Thursday to Sunday inclusive Main Tasks Or Key Responsibilities Routine Maintenance and Repairs Assist with routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical and general repairs. Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas to identify maintenance issues and address them promptly. Ensure all maintenance requests are completed efficiently and to a high standard, maintaining the hotel's quality and safety. Preventative Maintenance Support the implementation of preventative maintenance schedules to minimize future repair needs. Regularly inspect equipment and facilities to identify areas requiring proactive upkeep. Assist with basic upkeep of hotel assets and systems to ensure operational efficiency and guest satisfaction. Guest Service and Response Respond to guest maintenance requests courteously and promptly to minimize disruption and enhance guest experience. Maintain a professional and approachable demeanour when interacting with guests and staff members. Safety and Compliance Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times. Identify and report any potential safety hazards, ensuring corrective action is taken as necessary. Keep all work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards. Team Collaboration and Support Work closely with other departments, especially housekeeping and front office, to respond quickly to maintenance needs. Support the Maintenance Manager or Group Facilities Manager with larger projects and hotel upgrades as needed. Assist with training new maintenance staff on best practices and safety standards. Inventory Management Assist with inventory control of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment, notifying the manager of any necessary reorders. Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored securely. Key Requirements: Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems General handyman skills Painting Gardening Health & safety awareness Ability to troubleshoot and carry out routine inspections Strong time management and prioritisation skills Good communication and teamwork Flexibility to respond to urgent issues
