JP4 - Access, Door & Gate Automation Systems Technican
Introduction:
Coleman Electronics Ltd. are seeking to employ a skilled engineer / technician within the
above sector. The suitable candidate will possess the required skill set along with an
appropriate degree of professionalism required to join or vastly experienced and highly
successful team.
This position involves the installation and maintenance of Gate, Barrier Automation &
Access Control Systems. You will be a key part of a team that supplies all types of
automatic gates, electric gates, driveway gates, wooden gates, barriers, rising bollards,
automatic door openers and access control systems to a broad range of clients in various
sectors including retail, commercial buildings, hospitals, educational, government agencies
and local authorities.
As a Gate, Barrier and Access Control Systems Automation Engineer your key
responsibilities will include:
Installing, servicing and maintaining automatic gates, barriers and access control to
the latest European standards.
Attending emergency call out when required.
Diagnose and rectify basic faults with electro-mechanical and mechanical products.
Direct reporting to the Technical Manager.
Skills Required:
3 years industry related experience.
Experience with the following systems:
o FAAC
o CAME
o RECORD
o DITEC
o DORMA
Good customer interaction skills.
An engineering degree would be advantageous.
JOB PROFILE
Role Responsibilities:
Installation of the above system in line with company procedures and industry
standards.
Maintenance of the above systems in line with company procedures and
industry standards.
Programme, Test and Commission each of the system components.
Demonstrations to the end user on the operations of the above systems.
Complete all required documentation electronically/on paper from customers
daily in line with the company procedures.
Represent the company and yourself to the highest levels of service in line with
the company procedures.
Must be able work on own initiative and as part of a team.
As this is a field-based role, the successful individual must be prepared to travel
on a regular basis and provide cover in all geographical areas throughout the
island of Ireland when required.
Ability to spec up jobs, including creating bill f quantities for pricing
department.
Skills & Qualifications:
City & Guilds Craftsperson, Electrical/Electronic Degree or Mechatronics
Degree is required.
PC skills are essential especially with focus on IT networking.
A passion for delivering excellent customer service, installations and
maintenance is essential.
Full clean driving licence is essential.
Safe pass and Garda vetting certification is desirable.
Previous installation experience is required with at least 3 years experience
with a recognised security company.
Training completed with up to date security equipment is desirable.
