Machine & Packing Line Operators

Location: Goresbridge

Shifts: Three shift work cycle with 24/5 working week

Job Summary:

The Machine & Packing Line Operator will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the animal feed plant. The operator is responsible for overseeing the control systems and ensuring the efficient functioning of the plant. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and a basic understanding of process flow and quality systems. Experience in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor plant equipment to ensure smooth functioning of the animal feed plant.
• Operation of manufacturing lines and packing of finished products.
• Operate equipment in accordance with training provided.
• Ensures that all equipment is operating efficiently and effectively.
• Collaborate with other plant operators, maintenance team, and supervisors to ensure effective communication and coordination during routine operations, maintenance, and plant shutdowns.
• Monitor and record process parameters ensuring all records and paperwork is completed for the production lines.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintains a clean work environment, ensuring areas are always visitor ready.
• Carry out other activities as requested.

Qualifications:

• Leaving certificate or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training in industrial automation or control systems is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve control system issues promptly
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Willingness to work a three-shift work cycle with 24/5 working week
