CREGG are delighted to be working with our packaging client in Shannon, in hiring a Production Operator for their new state of the art premises in Shannon, Co-Clare.
The Production Operator will be looking for a role within a new start up, looking to build on existing experience and be part of something special.
Are you looking for a new challenge? The production operator will have responsibility for the following:
Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Immediately report any unsafe conditions or incidents to the supervisor.
Operate machinery and equipment according to the manufacturer’s instructions and company policies.
Perform regular checks to ensure machines are functioning properly.
Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues.
Quality check and pack product as per instructions, ensure product meet a green standards
Report any out of spec product to line operator, team leader or supervisor.
Monitor production to ensure that products meet quality standards.
Conduct regular inspections and tests to identify defects or deviations.
Maintain detailed records of production and quality issues.
Keep work areas and equipment clean and organized.
Notify maintenance personnel of any equipment that requires repair.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date production logs and records.
Prepare reports on production output, quality issues, and machine performance.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues about operational status and issues.
Strive to meet or exceed production targets and deadlines.
Optimize machine settings and workflows for maximum efficiency.
Suggest improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Follow all company policies, industry standards, and legal regulations.
Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Stay updated on new technologies and methodologies in the industry.
Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements.
Work collaboratively with other operators, supervisors, and maintenance staff.
Assist in training new operators and sharing best practices.
Support team initiatives and contribute to a positive work environment.
Know the location of emergency exits, first aid kits, and emergency equipment.
Be prepared to respond to emergencies, including machine malfunctions and safety incidents.
Participate in emergency drills and follow the emergency action plan
