Apprentice Electrician

Energywise Savings Ireland Limited is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as an Apprentice Electrician. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain practical experience and technical skills in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, with a specific focus on energy-efficient solutions. Under the guidance of experienced electricians, the Apprentice Electrician will contribute to various projects aimed at promoting sustainable energy practices and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment, adhering to safety protocols and industry regulations.

Learn and apply principles of energy-efficient electrical systems and renewable energy technologies under the guidance of experienced professionals.

Support senior electricians in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues and implementing effective solutions to ensure optimal performance of electrical systems.

Participate in on-site inspections and assessments to identify opportunities for improving energy efficiency and recommending appropriate electrical upgrades or retrofits.

Collaborate with the team to ensure accurate documentation of project details, including materials used, work performed, and any necessary follow-up actions.

Comply with all health and safety guidelines and participate in regular safety training to maintain a safe working environment for all team members and clients.

Learn to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to facilitate the installation and maintenance of electrical systems.

Gain practical experience in utilizing various tools and equipment necessary for electrical installations and repairs, ensuring proper handling and maintenance of tools.

Attend relevant training sessions and workshops to enhance technical knowledge and stay updated with the latest developments in electrical and energy-efficient technologies.

Demonstrate a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and commitment to maintaining high-quality work standards throughout the apprenticeship program.

Qualifications:

Completed Leaving Certificate.

Strong interest in electrical systems and a passion for promoting energy efficiency and sustainable practices.

Basic understanding of electrical principles, wiring diagrams, and safety procedures.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Willingness to learn and follow instructions from experienced electricians to gain practical hands-on experience.

Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and regulations while working on-site or in a workshop environment.

Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality work.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to various challenges and tasks within the electrical trade.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as required by specific projects and tasks.

A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation is preferred.
