Job Posting for ESS Engineering Manager at ESS LTD
The Engineering Manager will report to the Head of Operations with direct reports including Maintenance Technicians, Planners, Maintenance Engineers and Stores.
The role will include working with internal teams - Capital Projects Team, Energy Managers, Quality, HR, Supply Chain, NPD, Training in addition to external vendors - Equipment Suppliers, Maintenance Contractors, Regulatory Bodies.
Role will include :
Oversee Maintenance Activities: Manage and coordinate all maintenance activities to ensure equipment is well-maintained and operational, minimising downtime.
Team Management and Development: Lead and develop the maintenance team of technicians to ensure optimal production support, preventive maintenance compliance, and labour cost control.
Production Unit Support: Provide comprehensive maintenance support to production units, ensuring smooth, reliable, and efficient operations.
Plant Reliability: Ensure the reliability of the plant by implementing systems and measures to maintain consistent performance and allow foresight of failures.
Stores and Spare Parts Management: Oversee the stores and spares system to maintain adequate stock levels and operational efficiencies in line with industry best practice.
Drive Efficiency Improvements: Implement strategies to enhance maintenance and operational efficiency, reducing disruptions.
Optimise Maintenance Processes: Continuously monitor and improve maintenance processes to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability.
Continuous Improvement Leadership: Lead initiatives to enhance maintenance practices, reduce downtime, and improve overall production efficiency.
Qualifications / Experience :
L8 bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; L9 master’s preferred.
Minimum 7 years of experience in maintenance, production support and process improvement.
Proven track record of managing production units and implementing efficiency initiatives.
Strong leadership and operational management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Detail-oriented with a focus on process optimization and efficiency
