Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Duties: To work as part of a team in the design and implementation of a programme of activities which will provide the social, emotional and intellectual development of children aged from 4months to 5 years, in a full-daycare setting. To help maintain an environment which is warm and stimulating and that will motivate and encourage children in their growth and development. To provide for the basic needs of children, including meals and snacks, nappy changing and assisting with toileting and hygiene. To maintain the Childcare Centre area, its resources and equipment. Sit and converse with children, participate in games. Assist children with the clean up of activity area after each activity. Assist Room Leaders in maintaining a child centred environment for children. The assistant will assist with the hygiene routines in the childcare centre. Garda Vetting required.
