Job description

Generation Y wishes to recruit a highly organised, motivated and outgoing person to coordinate PR for the National Student Media Awards. Generation Y runs The National Student Media Awards (Smedias) as it’s more commonly known. The SMEDIAS honour young up and coming talent in the Irish Media Industry.

Role:

- Create a media plan

- Liaise with national and regional media

- Work with celebrity guests and presenters

- Issue Press Releases

- Contact all Newspapers/sponsors/ TV/ Radio on the day of event

- Issue info on Main Story i.e. Big Winners from the event to all national press and broadcast media. Follow up-to secure media coverage.

- Issue info on local winners to Regional Press and Radio using press profiles of winners to their local press, including a photo of the winner with the presenter.

Experience required:

· Recent graduate of PR masters or currently undertaking a master's.

· Highly organised with an attention to detail.

· 2-3 years of experience In the events/PR industry.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to work smart in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

· Must be capable of working on your own initiative.

  • Rathmines, CO. Dublin: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
