Mechanical Design Engineer

One of Ireland's leading building services consultancies dealing with a range of sectors including Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, Retail, Residential, Government & Commercial building is looking to hire a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer.They are a large organisation with an extremely healthy book of business for the next 3-5 years and looking for this hire to be a part of growing this business even more. As a company, they realise the importance of hybrid working, and employee wellbeing. They offer good hybrid options and are in brand-new offices in North Dublin with free parking on site.

Your new role:

• Leading smaller projects from inception to completion
• Developing, managing budgets and attending design team meetings
• You will be responsible for the design of HVAC and Utility systems & conducting onsite inspections.
• Ensuring that the designs are created in line with Irish Building Regulations, CIBSE Design Guides, British Standards and Health & Safety Regulations
• Supporting IES, LEED and BREEAM projects would also be an advantage

What you will need to succeed:

• Strong technical ability in all aspects of Mechanical Engineering Services & Design
• Third level diploma / degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
• 5 years relevant experience, ideally in a design consultancy environment
• Knowledge & experience of current CIBSE and Ashrae Design Guides, Building Regulations, EN and IEC Standards
• Experience of client, vendor & contractor interaction & management
• Proactive, a good communicator with the ability to work well with others in a multifunctional project team.
• Excellent level of attention to detail and accuracy.
