Job Description:
IPS is hiring! We are looking for a talented and experienced Buyer II to join our EMEA team at our office in Cork, Ireland.
The Buyer II is responsible for the timely placement of purchase orders and coordinating activities involved with procuring goods and services such as process and utility equipment, trade subcontracts and professional services. Responsible for project-specific subcontracts and purchase orders (POs) and invoice tracking, shipping, and receipt documentation.
Job Duties and Responsibilities

Receive and process requisitions from various project teams.

Prepare and place purchase orders with vendors in accordance with lead times and operational requirements.

Obtain order confirmations to ensure services or materials are being scheduled per order requests.

Expedite orders to track timely receipt of goods or services.

Maintain Approved Supplier Program records as well as request subsequent QA related documents.

Resolve invoice discrepancies and provide appropriate accounting instructions for cost variance allocations.

Prepare return orders for non-compliant products and ensure credits or invoice adjustments are submitted to Accounts Payable.

Maintain accurate purchase transaction history through organised purchasing and vendor records on an ongoing basis.

Monitor price increases and communicate changes with procurement staff.

Research new qualified subcontractors and vendors as needed.

Obtain quotes and proposals as required.

Evaluate existing vendors as needed.

Evaluate proposals for completeness and quality. Prepare recommendations for award.

Support Procurement staff with operational/administrative tasks as needed.

Track diversity spend and cost savings.

Special projects as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Extensive prior experience in a procurement role.

Knowledge and experience of trade contracts and equipment procurement.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook applications.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related supply chain experience preferred.

Excellent interpersonal skills to professionally represent IPS to various suppliers, external resources and clients.

Effectively interact with various personalities in multiple departments and supplier organisations.

Daily use of excellent verbal and written communication is necessary.

Enjoy challenges in a fast paced environment and make logical decisions with the ability to identify when it is necessary to escalate issues and opportunities to management.

Pro-active detail oriented work in a multi-tasking environment is required.

Supply Chain related experience ideal.

May be required to travel for short durations periodically.
