As a Programme / Activity assistant, you will be working to help individuals with their daily tasks. There are few jobs more important in terms of having great interpersonal skills than that of a programme assistant as you will possibly be the only professional a service user has any relationship with. Here is a list of typical care assistant duties: Assisting service users during programmes & activities in our Resource Centre. Assisting service users for trips/outings such as shopping trips and cinema trips. Learning more about your members, their needs and interests. Organising leisure activities such as bowling, arts and crafts Assisting at meal times while in the centre. The ideal candidate will have: The ability to work as a part of a team and be willing to work on their own. Willingness to engage in training, both in house and also any personal and professional development which allows them to progress into full time employment.
