Your impact
You will lead a team of engineers and technicians on a variety of projects, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality design solutions. Your responsibilities will include managing team programs and budgets, resolving technical issues across various project areas, and monitoring progress. You will mentor your team in an environment that promotes best practices and mutual support towards common project goals.
Additionally, you will attend progress meetings, public exhibitions, and inquiries as necessary, and review and approve documentation prepared by team members, often within tight deadlines. Occasional travel to other offices may be required depending on project needs.

We currently have opportunities within our Civil Engineering teams in Dublin & Cork for you to make your mark and contribute to the continued growth of Jacobs as part of the design team.

Here's what you'll need
- A Level 8 degree in Civil Engineering
- Chartered Engineer status with Engineers Ireland or equivalent.
- Thorough understanding of TII Publications, UK DMRB standards, and Active Travel standards.
- Proven technical experience in major highway, local road, or active travel schemes, with a sound knowledge of H&S legislation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of financial management and project control.
- Ability to produce well-presented and accurate reports and manage a challenging workload with short notice changes.
- Experience in Design and Build projects, proficiency in Civils 3D, and/or drainage design capabilities (WINDES or equivalent) is advantageous.
- Experience in construction supervision and road safety auditing.
- Familiarity with Building Information Modelling (BIM).
- Understanding of H&S legislation.
- Awareness of different contract types and procurement options.
