WANTED:PART TIME CLASSROOM ASSISTANT
5.5 hours per week (2:30pm-5:15pm Thur / 08:45:11:30am Sat)
We wish to recruit a Classroom Assistant for our Kumon Castletroy Study Centre.
The successful applicant will have:
- Patience and good attention to detail
- A strong knowledge of maths and English
- A keen interest in the potential of children
- Knowledge of the Kumon programme
- Availability for at least 1 continuous year
- Valid work permit & PPS number

1. PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To support the Instructor in all aspects of delivering the Kumon Maths and English learning programmes within the Castletroy Kumon Study centre.
2. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To assist in setting up and clearing down the classroom in a timely manner to ensure the environment is ready for activity when the first student arrives.
- To ensure that students work effectively in the classroom.
- To supervise students and assist in maintaining class discipline.
- To supervise specific student activities including but not limited to; number boards, listening to recitation of times tables and listening and assessing reading.
- To accurately mark and record students’ work and complete reporting methods as and where required.
- To liase and maintain positive working relationships with parents of students as and when required i.e. to take or give messages.
- To prepare students’ work.
- To carry out all reasonable duties as and when requested by the instructor.
