HGV Driver

Key Requirements include:

- Full, clean, valid artic license

- Relevant driving experience is essential: rigid & trailer

- At least 2-3 years artic experience

- Multi drop experience essential

- Experience with tankers is a bonus

- No ADR required

- All necessary CPC’s essential and up to date

- Digital tachograph essential

- Good knowledge of the 32 counties of Ireland

- Own transport would be necessary due to early starts

- Good level of written and spoken English

- Manual Handling & Power Pallet Training is desirable

Main responsibilities will include:

- Deliver Maxol Products (Bulk oil/Packed/AdBlue) to 32 counties – on time

- Ensure the vehicle and its equipment are kept clean and serviceable at all times

- Carry out daily vehicle checks as required by the RSA and report any urgent concerns immediately, otherwise to be reported on the check sheets provided

- Ensure all ISO procedures relating to your position are adhered to

- To operate the vehicle and its equipment in a safe and professional manner taking into account your own safety and the safety of others, equipment such as Taco Head/Garmin/Pumps/Compressor)

- To observe and obey all laws and statutory requirements that relate to the operation of a HGV

- To operate Bulk discharge from a rigid unit.

- Ensure that all PPE supplied by the company is used as required at all times

- To uphold the good image of the company with its customers through professional, prompt and courteous service at all times.

- Ensure minimum risk to the company by mishandling of product

- Carry out any other duties that might be assigned from time to time

- Ensuring that the correct products are loaded and off loaded

- Ensuring BULK & packed products are returned promptly and the correct paperwork is completed

- Ensuring no risk of product contamination during the course of your duties

- Ensuring all paperwork is checked, signed and returned to the office promptly

- Liaising with the office, and updating the logistics co-ordinator of any delays or and changes to the original route plan

- Emailing the office daily to advise of BULK volumes delivered

- Ensuring the PTO is engaged correctly and when required
