Job Posting for Facilities (General) Cleaner at Mergon Group
1. Scope of the position
The Facilities Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment within the site buildings. This includes ensuring cleanliness standards are met in the canteens, toilets, offices, meeting rooms and corridors. The role generates a clean environment for Mergon employees and a positive experience for visitors.
2. Key Responsibility
Cleaning:
Perform routine cleaning of canteens, toilets, meeting rooms, lobbies, offices and halls
Restocking of consumables in canteen and kitchen areas.
Buffering of tiled floors.
Waste Management:
Dispose of waste materials appropriately and in line with environmental and safety policies.
Segregate and recycle waste as per company guidelines.
Compliance and Reporting:
Adhere to health and safety standards, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Identify and report facilities issues, such as damaged floors, walls or equipment, to supervisors.
Complete cleaning logs and other documentation to ensure transparency and accountability.
3. Key Performance Indicators
Consistently maintain cleanliness levels that meet or exceed internal audits and regulatory inspections.
Complete assigned cleaning tasks on schedule with minimal supervision.
Respond promptly and effectively to spills or other cleanliness-related incidents.
Maintain adequate stock of cleaning supplies in designated areas
4. Decision making authority
Determine the most appropriate cleaning methods and materials for routine tasks.
Decide when additional cleaning or sanitization is required due to unexpected spills or people footfall
Escalate major cleanliness or facility issues to management for further action.
