Position Summary

NeoDyne is seeking a highly experienced AVEVA / OSIsoft PI Engineer to support one of our key client sites on a contract basis. The successful candidate will work closely with the NeoDyne team and play a critical role in delivering automation expertise across the Dublin based site.

This role involves deploying and maintaining PI System infrastructure in a regulated GMP environment, supporting digital initiatives and ensuring compliance with data integrity standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and manage PI Interfaces and Connectors for integration with manufacturing systems such as SCADA, OPC Servers, PLC-based systems, and MES platforms.
  • Build and maintain PI Data Archive, Asset Framework (AF) hierarchies, Event Frames, and Notifications to support process analytics and operational excellence.
  • Develop visualisation dashboards and reporting tools using PI Vision, DataLink, and RtReports, aligned with site operational and quality needs.
  • Author and maintain GxP-compliant documentation (URS, FS, FAT, SAT, IOQ) under GAMP 5 guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot issues within the PI System landscape and provide technical support across departments including Automation, IT, and Process Engineering.
  • Ensure alignment with data integrity, audit readiness, and site validation standards.
  • Contribute to digital transformation efforts through enhanced use of historian data and analytics platforms.


Experience & Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience implementing and supporting the AVEVA/OSIsoft PI System in a regulated manufacturing environment (pharmaceutical or life sciences preferred).
  • Deep knowledge of:

o PI Interfaces, PI Connectors, PI Asset Framework, Event Frames, Notifications

o PI Vision, DataLink, RtReports

o System architecture for integrating with SCADA, MES, and site-level IT/OT networks

  • Strong familiarity with GAMP 5, ISA-88, and ISA-95 standards.
  • Experience with change control processes and validated systems.

Desired

  • PI System certification (e.g., Infrastructure Specialist, PI Developer).
  • Experience with advanced modules such as PI WebAPI, EFGen, or PI Batch.
  • Exposure to reporting or analytics platforms like Power BI or Tableau interfaced with PI.
  • Proven delivery experience in high-throughput manufacturing environments.
