Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Accommodation Manager to join our team in Waterford. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall presentation of guest rooms and public areas to the highest standards. As the leader of the housekeeping department, you will motivate and guide your team, oversee inventory management and budget control, and ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations. This role requires a hands-on leader who is detail-oriented and committed to delivering outstanding guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage the daily operations of the housekeeping and accommodation department
Lead, motivate, and train a team of housekeeping staff to maintain excellent cleanliness standards
Perform regular inspections of guest rooms and public spaces to ensure compliance with quality standards
Oversee the ordering and management of linen, cleaning supplies, and other housekeeping essentials
Work closely with the front office and maintenance teams to ensure a seamless guest experience
Develop and implement efficient cleaning schedules and procedures
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including fire safety and COSHH standards
Address guest requests, feedback, and complaints in a timely and professional manner
Monitor departmental budgets, including labour and inventory management
Keep accurate records of maintenance issues, lost property, and housekeeping audits
Key Requirements:
Previous experience in a housekeeping or accommodation management role within a 4-star hotel or similar setting
Must be living in Ireland and have the legal right to work in the Republic of Ireland
Strong leadership and team management skills
Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges
Knowledge of health and safety regulations within the hospitality sector
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and hotel management systems is a plus
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays when required
