WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLE

The role is a member of the Kerrygold Park senior leadership team and is responsible for the management of the capital projects portfolio. This role is responsible for all technical and engineering aspects of their assigned projects throughout the project life cycle, up to and including hand over to business-as-usual state. This role will plan, schedule and manage all the budgetary & technical aspects of their assigned projects to assure project scope delivery and compliance.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Manage site capital project portfolio from concept, through to completion & sign-off
• Assume overall control for capital projects portfolio including
  • Project Scoping & Design
  • Business Case Preparation & Approvals Management
  • Budget Preparation & Management
  • Project Planning & Scheduling
  • Project Execution & Delivery
  • Tendering and Vendor Selection
  • Contractor Negotiation & Contractor Management
  • Compliance to applicable codes, practices, policies, standards & specifications
  • Project Communication, Tracking, Reporting, & Stakeholder Management
  • Design / Control of Project Master Documentation

KEY REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES

• 5 years of engineering projects / capital management experience
• Experience of implementing capital projects in a live manufacturing plant.
• Experience of budgetary processes, cost centre ownership and cost control.
• Possess strong leadership, communication, planning, people leadership and organising skills.
• Proven record in project delivery.
• Dairy processing operational expertise.
• Excellent knowledge of design and visualisations software such as AutoCAD
• Exposure to and knowledge of Operational Excellence techniques.
• The ability to positively contribute to strategic business decision-making as part of a senior management team.
• Process and systematic approach to project portfolio management
