The Safety Solutions Group comprises various departments, one of which is the Consultancy Department, specialising in providing advice, documentation, and support to our many clients.
The Health & Safety Inspector will be a key member of the Consultancy Department, assisting in the management of a specific project, to ensure the development and implementation of safe systems of work in line with statutory obligations. They shall be responsible for ensuring that Safety Solutions and the Clients that they represent are in compliance with all Statutory and Health & Safety legislation.
The role of the HSQE Inspector will be to provide daily HSQE inspections for one of Safety Solutions Group leading Clients in Dublin and surrounding area. Inspections will take place on Client project sites with the primary objective auditing Contractor HSQE performance.
Ideally, the successful candidate will be based in or around Dublin as daily travel to various sites is required. The role will involve the following:
On receipt of monthly inspection listing, make contact with designated contacts, to obtain precise details of the site location and the works which are to be undertaken during the following month.
Inspections to be scheduled upon confirmation of works.
- Utilise the provided Client mobile device and application to conduct the inspection.
- Be familiar with the Client Contractor pre-requisites for construction sites, including their hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control arrangements for site.
- Attend Contractor on-site inductions, as required for each project and comply with any specific safety requirements of the Contractor.
- Score the inspection using the guidance document provided by Client.
- Advise (by telephone) of any serious issues encountered on site immediately.
- Convey the findings of the inspection to the Contractor and where available the designated Client contact prior to departing the site.
- Monitor the reports for consistency of marking.

- Completing site safety audits and subsequent reports.
- Review and ensure compliance with the fulfilment of Contractor duties in accordance with the Construction Regulations 2013.
- Provide advice and direction to clients, employees and contractors.
- Have the ability to work unsupervised. Proactive, self-starter who can manage own workload and prioritise tasks.
- Good technology skills, Client mobile device and application to be utilised for all inspections.
Qualifications / Experience
- Relevant third level qualification. Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in a similar position (HSQE) in Water Services delivery or a related sector e.g., utilities, construction.
- Minimum of 2 years of previous experience in conducting site inspections and audits.
- Construction site experience or supervisory experience beneficial.
- You must be eligible to work in Ireland
- Full driving license
