1. Director of Nursing (DON)

As DON, you will oversee all aspects of clinical governance and care delivery in the home, ensuring high standards of safety, dignity, and well-being for all residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic and operational leadership
• Ensure compliance with HIQA and NMBI standards
• Lead and support a multidisciplinary care team
• Manage recruitment, staffing, and professional development
• Build strong relationships with residents, families, and regulators

Requirements:

• Active NMBI Registration (General Nursing)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in nursing home management
• Proven leadership and people management skills
• In-depth knowledge of HIQA standards and elder care best practices

2. Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

Supporting the DON, you will help manage daily operations, mentor nursing staff, and maintain a culture of clinical excellence and compassion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing care plans, audits, and staff rostering
• Support and supervise nursing and care staff
• Promote a resident-first, person-centred care environment
• Monitor quality and compliance indicators

Requirements:

• Active NMBI Registration
• Experience in nursing management (CNM level)
• Strong organisational and clinical skills
• Team-focused, with a passion for elderly care
