Role Purpose

We are seeking energetic, flexible, innovative, and enthusiastic Behaviour Specialist to join our CDNT and to provide quality, evidence-based, and family-centered behavior support to children and young people (0 - 18 years) with complex needs within an interdisciplinary framework.

The Behaviour Specialist will join a well-established Children's Disability Team and will work closely alongside the psychology Team and all members of the multidisciplinary team to provide specialist expertise around behaviours of concern to children within the CDNT providing a family centred and quality service.

The behaviour specialist will report to the Children's Disability Network Manager and p professional clinical supervision will be provided.

Continuous Professional Development opportunities will be provided.

Essential

Role requirements

• Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst preferred but not essential with two years' experience in a similar role.
• Hold a higher qualification in the area of behavioural assessment and intervention e.g., MSc in Applied Behaviour Analysis, Diploma in Applied Psychology of Learning Disability (Challenging Behaviour).
• Evidence of participation in continued professional development.
• Demonstrates competence and capability of undertaking the duties attached to the office.
  
  

Desirable

• Experience of working with children with disabilities is desirable.
• Undergraduate Qualification in Psychology is desirable.
• H olds a full clean driving licence and access to a car.
  
  

Salary and qualifications are in accordance with Department of Health consolidated pay scales. Salary Scale Social Care Leader €55,793-€65,155 per annum.
