About the Role

As a Cybersecurity Intern, you will work with experienced professionals to safeguard critical data, networks, and systems. You’ll gain exposure to cutting-edge tools, techniques, and real-world cybersecurity problems, while building a strong foundation in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security systems for potential vulnerabilities and cyber threats.
• Assist in conducting risk assessments and implementing security measures.
• Help maintain and improve firewalls, encryption, and access controls.
• Support the development and testing of security protocols and policies.
• Assist in incident response and mitigation of security breaches.
• Research emerging cybersecurity trends, threats, and mitigation strategies.
• Help ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements.
• Work on penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and secure coding practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and antivirus software.
• Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS) and protocols.
• Understanding of encryption, authentication, and data protection practices.
• Experience with operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix) and security tools.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify security threats.
• Excellent communication skills to report on security findings and recommend solutions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment both independently and within a team.
