We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to help build and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure services that power our platform. In this role, you’ll work across multiple teams to design and implement foundational services that enhance our product's performance and enterprise readiness.

As a Senior Engineer, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Product Design, and Infrastructure teams to solve complex technical challenges, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to best practices that drive engineering excellence.

What You’ll Do:

• Build and maintain backend services that scale with our growing customer base.
• Develop APIs and system architectures that support high availability and performance.
• Work with cross-functional teams, including Product, UX, and Security, to deliver impactful solutions.
• Contribute to engineering best practices, mentor junior engineers, and participate in design and code reviews.
• Debug production issues and optimize system performance using observability tools.
• Work with technologies such as Python, Go, React, Postgres, Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, and Datadog.

What We’re Looking For:

• 5 years of experience as a software engineer, with a strong background in backend development.
• Proficiency in designing API-driven applications using REST and/or gRPC.
• Experience building scalable and secure distributed systems.
• A systematic problem-solving approach, strong communication skills, and a sense of ownership.
• Ability to balance technical depth with fast, iterative delivery.

Nice to Have:

• Experience working in a remote, distributed team environment.
• Hands-on experience with observability tools like Datadog.
• Experience with distributed systems, database modeling, caching layers, and/or DB performance.
