The Role & What You Will Be Doing
The Reliability Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the consistency, stability, and high performance of our equipment, systems, and processes used in our Manufacturing and Packaging facilities. In this role, one of your primary goals will be to minimize downtime, increase operational efficiency, and ensure that the production environment meets regulatory standards, such as Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

Responsible for planning, coordination, scheduling and execution of Maintenance/Reliability Projects and activities with support from the engineering department and other site functions.

Work with the Engineering teams and wider site operational personnel in all aspects of the site operation. Ensure all equipment and operational processes are designed, changed and managed for maximum utilisation and valued total cost of ownership.

Act as a key technical resource for the operational focus on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, lean / operational excellence programs and problem resolution for electronic/mechanical/process equipment issues.

Implement the use of asset criticality ranking and development of optimized maintenance strategies for all assets based on their respective ratings and optimise spare parts inventory levels.

Develop, Implement and promote a Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) strategy onsite using Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA/FMEA) assessments in conjunction with System Owners, Maintenance and operational units. Utilising tools such as Trends analysis & Control charts & Data review.

Support the creation and modification of documentation to support maintenance and calibration activities (Maintenance Work Plans, Data Sheets, Work Instructions, troubleshooting guides).

Support compliance efforts related to Safety Events, Quality Events, CAPAs, change management and contamination investigations and assist in the investigation and resolution of electrical and mechanical issues on process equipment.

Ensure maintenance routines, procedures, and work plans are developed to the necessary standards and best practice to ensure compliance with GMP and EHS regulations.

Comply with all GMP & EHS requirements and compliance both from a local, global and regulatory perspective.
About Your Skills & Experience
For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:

Minimum of a Bachelor Engineering degree with a minimum of five years’ experience in an engineering role preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.

Must have a thorough working knowledge within a cGMP regulated environment, FDA, HPRA environment. Familiar with Computerized Maintenance management systems (CMMS), Calibration Management Systems, utility systems, sterile equipment, packaging lines, PLC’s.

Experience in Project Management.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Demonstrated structured decision-making capabilities.

Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, CMMS systems, and calibration systems.

Skilled in preparing and presenting clear, concise reports.

Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
