Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and efficient Procurement Executive to join our team for a 100 KLPD Ethanol & Co-generation Power Plant. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring all materials, machinery, chemicals, consumables, and services necessary for the efficient functioning of the ethanol production and captive power generation units. This role requires deep knowledge of industrial procurement, vendor management, and contract negotiation within the context of large-scale process industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle end-to-end procurement of plant equipment, machinery, spare parts, chemicals (e.g., enzymes, yeast, denaturants), utilities, and engineering services.
Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with production schedules and project timelines.
Prepare purchase requisitions, RFQs, comparative statements, and purchase orders.
Identify and qualify vendors for plant machinery (e.g., distillation, fermentation, driers, evaporators, turbines, boilers), instruments, electricals, and civil contractors.
Establish long-term vendor relationships and continuously evaluate supplier performance on quality, cost, and delivery parameters.
Conduct vendor audits and visits as needed.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and warranty conditions.
Ensure optimal pricing without compromising quality or safety.
Track and report on cost-saving initiatives and procurement KPIs.
Ensure all procurement activities comply with company SOPs, safety norms, and statutory regulations (including pollution control board and ethanol blending policies).
Maintain accurate records of all procurement transactions, contracts, and inventory logs.
Coordinate with legal and finance teams for contract finalization and payments.
Plan and track the delivery of critical items to avoid any plant downtime.
Coordinate with stores and inventory teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
Liaise with transporters and freight forwarders for logistics and customs clearances (if applicable).
Assist in capex and O&M procurement during plant commissioning, expansions, and periodical shutdowns.
Work closely with project teams for BOQ verification and timely delivery of project materials.
Key Requirements:
BBA Or BA/ B. Com/ Diploma in Supply Chain Management or Materials Management is an added advantage. Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 3–6 years of procurement experience, preferably in ethanol, sugar, distillery, power plant, chemical, or heavy process industries.
Hands-on experience in procurement of rotating & static equipment, utility systems (boiler, turbine, cooling tower), raw materials and chemicals.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally Prime).
Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor evaluation skills.
Knowledge of ethanol production process, plant operations, and technical specifications.

Working Conditions:
Primarily plant-based role with regular vendor and supplier visits.
