PE Teacher/Sports Coach

Job Title: Physical Education (PE) Teacher - Female

Location: Sadhguru Gurukulum - Samskriti, Isha Yoga Center, Coimabtore

Job Overview:

Sadhguru Gurukulum - Samskriti is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic female PE teacher to join our team. Our school focuses on providing an ideal environment for the overall development of the child. The PE Teacher will play a key role in fostering physical fitness, teamwork, and a balanced lifestyle among our students. This role involves teaching a range of PE activities, organizing traditional Indian games, and promoting health and wellness among the students.

Key Responsibilities:

Sports Programs:

• Organize and coach traditional Indian games and other physical education activities (e.g., kabaddi, throwball, volleyball, badminton, kho-kho, lagori, running, cycling).
• Plan and oversee monthly recreational days - swimming, running and cycling expeditions.
• Encourage student participation in sports and fitness activities both during and outside regular class hours.

Wellness Education:

• Educate students on the importance of nutrition, exercise, mental well-being, and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Provide individual or group guidance on maintaining physical and mental health.

Student Engagement:

• Foster a positive and inclusive environment for students to engage in physical activities.
• Monitor and assess students’ physical development, participation, and teamwork skills.

Residential Life Support:

• Supervise students in residential settings, contributing to their overall well-being and personal growth.
• Work collaboratively with other staff members to support the residential community.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience teaching PE or coaching sports
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a residential or boarding school environment.
• Knowledge of outdoor adventure programming or recreational sports is a plus.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
