Open Door is currently seeking a Dental Site Coordinator for its Brewster, NY location to assist in the provision of dental services. The Dental Site Coordinator coordinates daily operations in Brewster Dental Department, controls correspondence, review supply requisitions, analyzes pending claims reports on claims received without prior authorization to research and review eligibility and benefit coverage, monitors productivity, unlock notes and no-show rate.
As an Open Door employee, you would be eligible to participate in Open Door's Retention Bonus Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus of $750, beginning the first quarter following 3 months of employment as long as you remain an active employee in good standing. The Retention Bonus Plan will continue until December 2024.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Exercise excellent judgment in decision-making within established policies and practices.
- Collaborate with Director of Dental Operations to coordinate and facilitate optimal patient flow and quality patient care.
- Analyze Dentists and Hygienists scheduling and patient flow process to ensure appropriate patient access.
- Check and maintain adequate amount of equipment and supplies in accordance with department budget and Center standards.
- Process pre-authorization and referral
- Respond to insurance company when additional info or updated treatment plan if needed.
- Review and correct claims with missing information and pending with error.
- Respond to Telephone Encounters.
- Respond to patient inquiries within 48 hours.
- Monitor claims with missing information and pending with errors.
- Monitor department productivity with staff and managing missed and failed appointments by filling the schedule.
- Monitors unlock notes.
- Monitor attendance and complete the evaluation of staff performance and productivity.
- Perform Dental Assistant tasks and Patient Service Representative tasks when coverage needed.
- Ensures operation of dental equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories, evaluating new equipment and techniques
REQUIREMENTS
- H.S. Diploma or Equivalent. Advanced Degree Preferred.
- Minimum of three years’ managerial experience in dental department
- Excellent computer skills, including eCW web and relevant.
- Superior operational and team-building skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to provide strong leadership.
- Outstanding judgment and decision-making skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with ability to prioritize quickly.
