Position Summary:
Are you looking for a better work/life balance during the hectic tax season? Would you like to be a part of the nation's fastest growing virtual tax accounting company? Great! We are currently seeking In house Tax Advisors to join our team! This would be an In-house/ hybrid position. The first month would be full time in office for a comprehensive training program. Our office is located in Midtown, Manhattan. After completing the training program, you would work two days in our Midtown Manhattan office and three days remotely. As a tax advisor, your primary responsibility is to advise clients on all of their small business tax needs and questions.

On a day to day, you will:

• Provide tax preparation guidance, tax audit support and tax planning year round
• Build year-round client relationships
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Grow your tax expertise
• Mentor and support teammates
• Research tax subjects
• Be the point of contact for providing guidance and support of 1-800Accountants accounting portal system to our clients
• Timely and professional communication with clients via softphone/messaging system
• Guide clients through the bookkeeping software and review financials for accuracy
• Follow up with members of the team to ensure that the completion of tasks align with your tax strategy 

What you'll bring to the team...

• 1 years of experience in individual tax returns and associated schedules 
• Experience preparing  individual (1040)  tax returns with the associated schedules
• Capable of building strong client relationships over the phone
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in related technologies; spreadsheets, tax prep and bookkeeping softwares 
• Adaptable with process and system changes 
• Up to date on the latest tax codes
• Tax planning and audit support preferred
• Ability to effectively communicate in person and in writing
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

It would be even better if you also had...

• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification 
• Experience completing complex tax returns (1120, 1120s,1065) 
• Sales and/or marketing experience

Compensation:

$60,000 to $65,000 based on experience
