Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technician to join our team. As a 1800-Battery Technician, you will be responsible for providing on-demand, mobile battery installations to our customers. You will go to various locations to perform battery replacements on all types of vehicles after picking up batteries from our large supplier network. This is a part time gig job that can evolve into a full time job. Very similar to Uber, you log in to a phone app when you want to work and we send jobs your way
Responsibilities:
- Respond to service calls in a timely and efficient manner
- Perform battery replacements and installations on various types of vehicles
- Conduct thorough inspections of the vehicle's electrical system to ensure proper functionality
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate clearly with customers about the service provided
- Keep us informed of availability using automated messages and application being on when available.
- Return Cores on Battery Replacements
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Experience with automotive repairs and electrical systems preferred
- Ability to lift heavy batteries and equipment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Will be a 1099 contractor in an Uber-like manner
- Must have own set of tools and equipment, including:
- Basic hand tools ( Metric and US wrenches, sockets, pliers, etc.) Torx bit set and tripple square socket set. Safety glasses, Work gloves, Multimeter, Battery terminal cleaner, Battery post and terminal cleaning tools, Battery Management System (BMS) Testing and Reset tool. Battery load tester. Automotive memory saver.
- Must have reliable transportation to transport tools and equipment.
- Must have a smartphone with internet access to receive service requests through our mobile application. We offer industry leading pay per installation, and some technicians are earning over $50,000 a year.
