General Manager

We are a progressive franchise-system Company that has entered hyper-growth and are in the process of building our team in Franklin Township, NJ. We have identified the need for a General Manager to join us in this venture.

We are seeking a General Manager who will foster a positive team culture - We work hard and play hard and need you to guide the team into our next chapter of growth.

About the position:

The General Manager is accountable for the business including sales growth, hitting KPIs, training and development, and maintaining a smooth operation. This position requires a leader who has the ability to foster a positive work culture and has proven strong organizational and people skills in a high-growth, fast-paced environment. We are looking for a person who responds positively to challenges and has experience working with competing priorities.

The General Manager will assist in overseeing the Franklin Township, NJ 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Franchise, including 1 Sr. Operations Manager, 2 Jr. Operations Managers, and 20 Truck Team Members. 

LOCATION: Franklin Township, NJ

DAYS/HOURS: 45-50 hours per week (Flexibility for Monday - Sunday)

SALARY: $70,000 - $85,000 yearly

START DATE: To Be Determined

Responsibilities Include:

• Set and Hold Accountable to the following Company Standards:

  • Facility Standards, Operational Process Standards, Equipment Standards, Safety Standards, Training Standards, Implement Junktion Standards Companywide, Truck Claims Filing and tracking

• Keep track of the company’s revenue margins and conduct budget reviews to maximize profits

• Lead operational staff meetings, focusing on metrics, goal setting, wins, and reviews on performance

• Train and develop the operations and truck team staff to uphold performance excellence

• Develop and execute new growth directives

• Work with the People & Culture team to address hiring needs; including final in-person interviews

• Oversee employee training programs

• Conduct performance reviews based on a standardized schedule

• Liaise with ownership to develop financial plans and ensure company-wide operational excellence

• Enforce operational policies and procedures

• Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements and company policies are followed and enforced

• ​Continuously drive and develop a positive culture among the field staff

The Qualifications you have:

• 5 years of General Management and Team Leadership experience 

• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines, required

• Willingness to travel up to 3 times per year for leadership meetings, including Canada

• Willingness to submit to a background check and drug screening, required

• The ultimate drive to work in and contribute to a fast-paced company committed to the growth and development of its people

• Ability to retain great people, drive positive results, and achieve goals

• Driver’s license and clean driving record

• Proficiency in the use of G-Suite and Salesforce are assets
