Truck Maintenance & Recycling Team Member
Full-Time. Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm
Pay: $20-$25/hr (depending on relevant skills, education & experience)
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys doing light mechanical duties on vehicles and also seeks variety! In this role, you will oversee the basic maintenance of our trucks including oil changes, small repairs, and keeping them shiny. Additionally, this role will ensure that the items brought back to our warehouse for recycling (lawnmowers, refrigerators, TVs) get brought to recycling centers. We are committed to keeping as much out of landfills as possible and this role plays a key role in taking care of the planet.

Job duties include (but are not limited to):
- Perform vehicle maintenance and small repairs to ensure vehicles are safe for our team members
- Daily truck review checklist prior to teams heading out for the day - operationally as well as cleanliness
- Regular oil changes, and other basic maintenance
- Ability to diagnose and conduct simple repairs as well as work with a local mechanic shop to coordinate larger repairs as needed
- Oversee the recycling of appliances, equipment, and home electronics such as refrigerators, TVs, and lawnmowers (where you would need to first remove any oil) brought to our warehouse by our Truck Teams
- Deliver items to recycling centers as needed
- Help to keep our warehouse property organized and tidy
- Help us achieve our goal of minimizing materials going to landfills
- 18 years of age (required for insurance proposes)
- A valid driver's license
- Mechanically inclined
- Good understanding of vehicle and electrical systems.
- Previous automotive or repair employment experience or combination of education & experience
- Vocational or technical education in vehicle maintenance is preferred.
- Physically able to lift at least 50lbs repeatedly
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Salary : $20 - $25
