Summary / objective
As a Territory Manager (TM) you will be responsible for a specific group of facilities located within a relatively close geographic are. This is both a data driven and hands on position. The TM is the Coach of their team and needs to concentrate their effort on building a strong team in each facility. Facilities are located in Auburn, WA, Fairview, OR, Fremont, CA, Benicia, CA, and Sacramento, CA.

- Check calendars and facility capacity spreadsheet to determine if capacity needs to be adjusted for each facility based on staffing and truck capacity.
- The TM will have direct responsibility for the staffing and development of each facility’s Operations Manager (OM) and Assistant Operations Manager (AOM) (if facility requires one). While the OM will have responsibility for staffing the facility’s drivers and forklift operators, the TM will have oversight and overall responsibility for the capacity of the facility as it relates to staffing levels and will be an active part of hiring.
- The TM will be responsible for both verifying the daily, weekly, and monthly inventory tasks are being done by the OM as well as performing a full vacant unit inventory themselves in each facility on a monthly basis.
- The TM will be responsible for holding a driver meeting at a minimum of monthly for all drivers and forklift operators in each facility including topics on safety and performance. They will also be responsible for the training and development of the OMs and AOMs.
- The TM will verify that all Litmos training is up to date in every facility monthly. They will also be responsible for making sure all Ltyx coaching is up to date. Safety will be a major component in the monthly employee meetings as well.
- The TM will be responsible for Fleet management including all equipment in their region. TM is responsible for monitoring engine hours for all vehicles to be sure assets are being utilized to their maximum capacity. TM is also to monitor that all maintenance and repairs are performed per approved schedules as well as staying on top of vendor performance.
- The TM will be responsible for facility conditions and audits. They will complete a comprehensive audit of each facility monthly to encompass compliance with company standards as well as OSHA and Fire compliance.
- The TM will be responsible for the assessment, development, and directions of his Management Staff. This includes annual performance reviews.
- The TM should be reviewing Open Touch requests to each facility from Central Admin and pressing those that are delinquent in responding for both transportation touches as well as LDM transfer touches.
- The TM is responsible for all aspects of the facility operations. That includes dealing with crises like down equipment, temporary staffing, PTO, etc. TM is also responsible for the overall morale of their facilities, providing coaching and encouragement to all staff.
