This position will have opportunities to grow and fill in bigger shoes as the company expands! The Operations Manager plans and oversees the daily operations of 1-800 STRIPER of South Phoenix to ensure goals and objectives are achieved.

Required Education and Experience

  • Experienced with line striping and the use of paint striping machines and equipment.
  • Familiar with and can perform minor construction including parking sign and wheel stop installations.
  • High School Degree or equivalent.
  • A valid and clean driver’s license.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Related managerial &/or leadership experience or training.
  • Must love working and serving co-workers, customers, and vendors.
  • Have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow.

Essential Functions

  • Lead, motivate, and support multiple crews prioritizing work.
  • Reads and follows plans, material lists, and guidelines and applies necessary timelines.
  • Organizes, supervises, leads and trains employees to complete projects within established guidelines and time frames.
  • Enforces all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Enforces all client-required safety policies and procedures.
  • Tracks inventory.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures and safety requirements, including Field Worker discipline and documentation.
  • Approve Field Workers’ timesheets for payroll by deadline.
  • Responsible for all customer relations.
  • Implementing, training, and managing software applicable to customer relations.
  • Ensures workspaces are clean and organized.

Supervisory Responsibility

The position directly supervises a maximum of 8 employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, scheduling, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of temperature conditions at job sites. This position is performed in outside weather conditions.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to or more than 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week. Typical days and hours of work are Sunday through Saturday, with days and hours depending on seasonal weather conditions and customer needs. Weekend work will be required as job duties demand, with overtime options available.

Travel
Local travel (within the surrounding areas) but a vehicle will be provided.
