Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Data System Operations Coordinator to monitor and coordinate all data system operations, with a focus on security procedures and liaison with end users. This role ensures the performance of necessary system backups, including the storage and rotation of backups. The coordinator will monitor and maintain records of system performance and capacity, facilitate vendor services or other reconfiguration actions, and anticipate requirements for system expansion. Additional responsibilities include supporting managers in compliance with state data security requirements, coordinating software development, providing user training, managing networks, and handling minor equipment installation and repair tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and coordinate all data system operations, ensuring security procedures are followed and liaising with end users as needed.
- Oversee the performance, storage, and rotation of system backups.
- Track and maintain records of system performance and capacity, arranging vendor services or other reconfiguration actions as needed.
- Anticipate and address system expansion requirements.
- Assist managers in complying with state data security requirements.
- Coordinate software development, user training, and network management.
- Perform minor installation and repair of equipment as needed.
Education Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or another related technical discipline.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in one of the above fields is equivalent to one year of specialized and two years of general experience.
- An additional year of specialized experience may substitute for the required education.
Experience Requirements:
- General Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a computer-related field.
- Specialized Experience: At least one (1) year of experience administering multi-user, shared processor systems and data communications networks.
Pay will be dependent on experience, negotiable.
