Job Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor plays a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of a warehouse facility. Responsible for managing and coordinating the movement of goods, ensuring accurate inventory management, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. Additionally, leads a team of warehouse personnel, providing guidance and support to achieve operational targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall functioning of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
- Monitor and track inventory levels to ensure accuracy.
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistent and efficient operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate the movement of goods and resolve any operational issues.
- Supervise and train warehouse staff, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Schedule and assign tasks to warehouse personnel, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient workload distribution.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, objectives, and updates.
- Address employee concerns, conflicts, and performance issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure accurate inventory management through regular cycle counts, stock reconciliations, and audits.
- Enforce safety protocols and best practices to ensure a safe working environment for all warehouse personnel.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and identify potential hazards, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to safety, compliance, and operational processes.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and warehouse metrics, such as productivity, accuracy, and order fulfillment rates.
- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Generate reports on warehouse activities, including inventory levels, shipment statuses, and performance metrics.
- Present regular reports to management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations for process enhancements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
