Job Overview:

We are a Private family Owned clinic looking for a FT (4 days) Experienced Dental Assistant.

We are not Corporate.

As an experienced dental assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the dental team in delivering high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of clinical and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental assisting, possess excellent communication skills, and be committed to maintaining a positive and professional patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clinical Support:
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures.
• Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring the provision of high-quality patient care.
• Take and process dental X-rays as per established protocols.
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
• Provide chairside assistance, anticipating the needs of the dentist during procedures.
• Patient Interaction:
• Greet and prepare patients for dental treatment.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care.
• Address patient concerns and provide reassurance, creating a positive and comfortable environment.
• Administrative Tasks:
• Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update health histories.
• Handle billing, insurance claims, and coordinate payment plans as needed.
• Manage and order dental supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Infection Control:
• Adhere to strict infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
• Follow OSHA and other regulatory guidelines for the handling of hazardous materials.
• Team Collaboration:
• Collaborate with other dental professionals and staff to optimize patient care and office efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, including dentists, hygienists, and administrative staff.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of [X years] of experience as a dental assistant.
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program.
• Current CPR certification.
• Proficient in dental software and X-ray systems.
• Knowledge of infection control protocols and OSHA regulations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification.
• Experience with dental practice management software.
• Bilingual proficiency (if applicable to the patient population).
