Position: Thermal Validation Engineer - Consumer Wearable Devices
Location: Sunnyvale, CA 100% Onsite

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Thermal Validation Engineer with experience in characterizing the thermal performance of high-volume, battery-operated consumer electronics. The ideal candidate will excel in creating real-world thermal conditions in laboratory environments and have a strong background in data analysis to drive design improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive thermal test plans and strategies for consumer wearable devices.
Set up and operate thermal validation environments, including thermal chambers, heated body models, air circulators, and solar light sources.
Instrument devices for accurate thermal measurements under varying conditions.
Collect and analyze thermal data to generate insightful reports and presentations for cross-functional teams.
Collaborate with design teams on thermal considerations, simulations, mitigation strategies, and throttling schemes.
Document thermal requirements, test procedures, and results in a clear and organized manner.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven experience in thermal characterization of battery-operated consumer electronic devices.
Proficiency in generating thermal models using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) techniques.
Hands-on experience with experimentation, thermal data capture, and report generation.
Familiarity with thermal analysis of systems using advanced materials.
Strong understanding of heat transfer theory and thermal analysis software tools.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master s degree in Science or Engineering with a focus on thermal design, testing, or simulation.
5 years of experience in thermal analysis, design, and testing.
Proficiency in thermal analysis software and data analysis tools.
Solid understanding of thermodynamics, mechanical, and structural design principles.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to multitask across various disciplines and projects.
