1 Resource Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our clients team in Beaumont, TX. area. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of engine-driven equipment, such as welding machines, generators, light towers, air compressors, and more. The ideal candidate should have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality service.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with small engine equipment in the field.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes and filter replacements
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems and prevent future issues.
- Ensure all repairs meet quality and safety standards.
- Keep accurate records of all service and repair activities.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain diagnoses, repairs, and maintenance needs.
- Provide cost estimates for repairs promptly and submit them to sales for customer approval.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or vocational training in small engine repair is a plus.
- Proven experience as a small engine mechanic or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of two-stroke and four-stroke engines.
- Familiarity with various small engine equipment brands and models.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to handle the demands of the job.
- Valid driver's license.
