Responsibilities:
- Perform mobile phlebotomy services at various locations, including homes, offices, and healthcare facilities.
- Collect blood samples from patients using appropriate laboratory techniques and procedures.
- Ensure accurate labeling and documentation of specimens for transport to the laboratory.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper disposal of biohazardous materials.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during the phlebotomy process.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate specimen collection.
Skills:
- Proficient in laboratory techniques and procedures related to phlebotomy.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in specimen collection and labeling.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach when working with patients.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems is a plus.
