1-Tom-Plumber is a fast-growing emergency plumbing start-up that provides services to both commercial and residential properties. We are a franchise seeking an operations manager to lead the development and success in our local market.

The Operations Manager is responsible for the growth, profitability, and leadership of the territory.

Position Summary / Purpose The Operations Manager is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of services. This role is responsible for driving gross profit, upholding company standards, and ensuring the production team meets expectations. Key responsibilities include hiring, training, developing, and disciplining the production team, as well as overseeing scheduling, quality control, and quality assurance. The Operations Manager also facilitates meetings with employees, focusing on production or work-in progress (WIP) meetings. While education is valued, industry experience and knowledge are prioritized over a college degree. Facilitate the timely and profitable delivery of all services while maintaining company standards for quality and customer satisfaction. Effectively manage the Operations function of the business which includes : staffing, training and development, documentation of work performed, inventory control, equipment purchases and maintenance, record keeping, housekeeping, and employee relations. Assist in maintaining market leadership through rigorous recruiting and hiring, staff development, and business process improvement. Uphold and develop a positive company culture. Primary Duties and Responsibilities  Exceed customer expectations by delivering high-quality service.  Achieve or surpass company targets for client / customer satisfaction and quality ratings.  Meet or exceed targets for Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and Direct Labor cost performance.  Maintain positive cash flow and meet company targets.  Ensure production capacity through effective staffing, equipment, and supplies management.  Prepare and manage the annual Operations budget.  Maintain accurate and efficient production documentation flow from field to administration.  Develop strategic goals and business objectives for the Operations function.  Hire, train, develop, discipline, and discharge Operations employees.  Evaluate and manage subcontractor performance.  Track financial and overall performance of individual jobs and production departments.  Maintain appropriate inventory levels of production supplies and materials.  Schedule and oversee maintenance and repairs of production equipment and vehicles.  Facilitate smooth management succession within the Operations function through staff assessment, training, and development.  Implement new technology seamlessly for service delivery.  Assign new projects to Estimators and Project Coordinators.  Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers. Working Relationships and Scope  Purchase equipment and vehicles above the authorized limit with prior approval from the General Manager / CEO.  Communicate effectively with Sales and Marketing to align company capabilities with marketing and sales strategies.  Maintain strong relationships with insurance industry contacts, trade associations, suppliers, and the community.
