What You Will Contribute:
Are you ready to make a significant impact on cutting-edge electrical and electronic products? As a Sr. Electrical Engineer at Badger Meter, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our innovative water solutions and water management products. This is your chance to unleash your creativity and problem-solving skills while working with a talented and diverse group of Engineering professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Innovate and Improve: Provide your expertise to support and enhance PCB and component circuitry for our existing products. Sustain and improve state-of-the-art sensors from our ATI water solutions brand, such as the MetriNet Multi-parameter Smart Water Quality Monitoring System and the Q46/45C4 4-Electrode Conductivity Monitor, ensuring they continue to deliver accurate and reliable water quality monitoring.
- Drive Production Success: Lead the finalization of production implementations, develop test methodologies, and create production validation fixtures and procedures.
- Document Excellence: Prepare and finalize release documentation for hardware components, including product work instructions and engineering change requests.
- Support and Collaborate: Offer advanced hardware support to various departments, ensuring seamless sustaining engineering activities.
- Team Player: Participate in multi-disciplinary project teams, contributing to project schedules, budgets, and risk assessments.
- Mentor and Lead: Share your knowledge and expertise with junior engineers, guiding their professional development.
Qualifications:
- 5 years in electrical engineering and manufacturing support
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining and improving existing electronic products, with a focus on PCB hardware design and integration within both stand-alone circuits and embedded systems.
- Solid experience working with analog circuitry and microprocessors
- Expertise in Altium (or similar) schematic capture and PCB layout software.
- Extensive experience using test instruments (e.g., oscilloscopes, power supplies, data acquisition systems, environmental chambers) for troubleshooting.
- Experience working with other departments to provide technical support for products is preferred
