What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outreach Worker-Intern position at 10 BCFS Health and Human Services?

Education: Required – Must be college student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. Recent graduate will be considered. Must be willing to work 15-20 hours per week at the local program office. Some local travel to site locations may be necessary.
Experience: Personal/Business/Organization social media account management experience. Email, Canva, and Microsoft Office experience. Strong organizational experience.
Summary: BCFS HHS operates the program Common Thread, which presents opportunities for robust internships in outreach, via the assigned partnerships and outreach department. The Law Enforcement Liaison support intern will work with the Community Partnerships and Education team to increase awareness of child trafficking in their local area.
Intern Functions:
1.Assist in the creation of outreach materials used to increase community awareness
2.Organize materials for presentations and outreach events, including mobilizing the community to identify trafficking victims
3.Represent BCFS Health and Human Services Common Thread at community events by providing information to the community about our program, human trafficking, and our agency
4.Create and place target specific ads and maintain social media platforms
5.Assist Community Team in working with community-based organizations and other stakeholders to establish partnerships throughout all assigned counties
6.Assist Community Team by connecting advocates and the program to useful resources for clients served
7.Assist with research for human trafficking presentations and trainings
8.Assist with tracking outreach and data
Intern Success:
1.Receive a minimum of 20 hours of training necessary to ensure internship preparedness
2.Receive reimbursement for work-related travel as approved
3.Receive weekly supervision and written supervision reports
