Education: Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Experience: Required - With a high school diploma, at least 3 years of professional work experience in a related field. With a Bachelor’s degree, at least 1 year of professional work experience in a related field.
Summary: The Resource Navigator is responsible for using sound professional judgment and best practices to ensure quality services are provided to the service population while maintaining compliance with established program standards.

Essential Functions:
1. Outreach and recruitment of participants for Family Resource Center activities.
2. Outreach with community partners and creating events
3. Following and meeting required program deliverables
4. Establish and maintain a trusting and professional working relationship with families by providing regular contact.
5. Administer intake, assessments, and screening tools to clients and family members.
6. Utilize intake and assessment results to establish and effectively implement goals, objectives, and activities identified with parents.
7. Provide intensive case management services to families.
8. Provide parent & health education, case management, resource and referrals, basic needs support, and/or other support services to families on caseload.
9. Conduct systematic follow-up for all families.
10. Record all group and individualized services and activities in a complete, concise, and timely manner utilizing program forms into PEIRS (DFPS) and Salesforce (BCFS) software.
11. Meet with supervisor and staff for monthly meetings
12. Meet all deliverables as outlined in contract.
Measurable Deliverables:
1. Document all attendance on a weekly basis in Salesforce.
2. Attend all required annual trainings.
3. Provide community education on child abuse prevention strategies monthly.
4. Develop together with Lead Resource Navigator, updates, reminders, and community education information monthly.
Credentials, Skills and Abilities:
1. Maintain current licenses and certificates required for the position including but not limited to:
a. First Aid
b. CPR
2. Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens and maintain emotional control, and professional composure at all times.
3. Provide proof or work eligibility status upon request.
4. Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background and motor vehicle check
5. Demonstrate the ability to:
a. Respond sensitively and competently to the service population’s cultural and
socio-economic characteristics.
b. Communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English and Spanish.
c. Work in a fast-paced environment.
d. Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position.
e. Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
f. Travel as needed.
g. Manage time effectively and efficiently.
6. Bilingual (Spanish) not required.
