Job Description Provides strategic direction and leadership for the achievement of clinical performance in the development of clinical practice guidelines in partnership with the Medical Director, Quality and Medical Management. Facilitates the identification and definition of key measures, data analysis, performance improvement, and the implementation of redesigned processes to demonstrate clinical effectiveness for optimum outcomes. Experience 3 years of experience in healthcare management or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience 5 years of clinical experience at the bedside or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree Six Sigma Green Belt Education Bachelor of Science in nursing (preferred), or graduation from an accredited school of nursing AND a baccalaureate degree in another field, or graduation from an accredited school of nursing AND 10 years of progressing nursing experience Certification Summary Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the single State of Georgia or Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent management, communication, organization, interpersonal, problem-solving, consulting, and team building skills Demonstrated project management skills Ability to work with a variety of disciplines/departments and employees at all levels Job Responsibilities Monitors trends and prioritizes development of systemwide clinical guidelines/evidence-based programs. Facilitates the development of clinical guidelines/evidence-based programs in collaboration with physician practice groups, service lines, and functional areas. Develops and provides education to physician and clinical staff relative to performance improvement tools. Ensures implementation of high-quality practices/processes. Promotes adoption of safe patient practices and reports outcomes on a routine basis by monitoring activities promoting clinical effectiveness projects. Develops robust outcome measurement and reporting for all clinical practice guidelines, works collaboratively with the outcomes center. Ensures clinical practice guidelines meet all regulatory requirements. Evaluates, develops, and monitors activities promoting clinical effectiveness (CCN). Oversees robust outcome measurement and reporting for all improvement activities (CCN). Serves as expert clinical consultant for the Performance Improvement team (CCN). Drives efforts in outcome demonstration, including external sharing, publishing, and benchmarking (CCN).
